Absentia season 2: Go behind the scenes with Stana Katic
In the new post via the actress’ Instagram feed (which we have for you to check out below), you can see a little bit of what she is doing to train for the upcoming batch of episodes, which are currently filming over in Bulgaria. This includes her meeting up with stunt coordinator Francois Coetzer as he works to make her into a proper “badass” (her word) as Emily Byrne. There’s obviously a lot of work that goes into just about every single aspect of Absentia as a series, and we do very much believe that the action sequences are essential to the story’s success. They really give you a deeper feel for the character, and we think Katic engaging in these again is a rather-significant sign that you are going to see action moving into the new season.

Throughout the second season, we imagine that there are going to be some more trials and tribulations that come Emily’s way. We do think that she’s capable of rising above it and making it to the other side, but we certainly do think that this is going to be difficult for her. This is an intense, dramatic story and we don’t foresee season 2 being any different.
Alas, we still do not have any indication as to when we are going to see the show back on the air. For now, our expectation is that Absentia will likely come back at some point in 2019 — likely at least a few months into the year, if not later.
