This Is Us season 3 episode 3 preview: The story of ‘Katie Girls’

This Is Us season 3 episode 3 carries with it the title of “Katie Girls,” and at the center of this one is (of course) Kate. She’s doing what she can in order to conceive a baby with Toby, but there are a number of highs and lows that go along with that. She’s been trying IVF as of late and we do think that she is going to do what she can in order to continue that treatment.

With that being said, though, we do expect some more roadblocks. This is a series all about peaks and valleys and right when it seems like we are closer to getting some good news about Kate, something else may happen to slow that down. Given that Kate has already had a devastating low point here in the form of a miscarriage, isn’t it high time to give her something closely resembling a win? We like to think so, but there is certainly no guarantee that will happen.

Beyond what’s happening with Kate, we do really wonder what the writers could do when it comes to the story of Randall. It feels like the show is moving towards a possible political career here, but they almost have to approach it with the utmost caution. It should be clear at this point that politics are a fairly polarizing subject for many people out there, and we don’t think that this is a series that needs to start navigating some of those difficult waters on such a polarizing topic.
