Game of Thrones season 8 bringing back a beloved … animal character

Game of Thrones

We are personally all about getting to know about some returning characters entering Game of Thrones season 8. Why? Let’s just say that it’s rather hard sometimes to get said info. Nobody really wants to talk, mostly in fear that HBO is going to send an army of direwolves after them. This is one of the most-secretive TV series in recent history and for good reason.

Yet, with all of this said, we can at least say this: A fan favorite character is going to be coming back for more on the show. The biggest twist here is that we’re talking about an animal character. Speaking in a new interview via The Huffington Post, series visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer confirmed that you are going to have a chance to see Jon Snow’s direwolf Ghost show up on the series as we move towards the future:

“Oh, you’ll see him again. He has a fair amount of screen time in Season 8 … He does show up.”

Given how few direwolves are actually still alive out there within the world of Game of Thrones, we do think that it’s worth noting anytime we do have a chance to see one of them. They are a huge part of the history of Game of Thrones and with that, the more reminders that we can get of the show’s legacy, the better.

Of course, we don’t exactly expect that Game of Thrones is going to waste a great deal of time on some sort of lengthy curtain call. Just remember here that there are only six more episodes coming up for the series and with that, we imagine that most of the narrative will be focused more on trying to figure out how to stop the White Walkers and who will end up on the Iron Throne.
