NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: Andrea Bordeaux on Harley Hidoko reveal
Obviously, there are some spoilers ahead from the premiere…
At the end of the premiere, it was officially revealed that Hidoko did in fact die in Mexico. This has been a possibility ever since the finale, but we held out hope that the character would have arrived and been responsible for saving Sam, Callen, Deeks, and Kensi. We certainly know that she was more than capable of it. Unfortunately, we do think that losing Hidoko was the writers’ necessary evil that needed to happen in the premiere. By removing the character from the equation, there was a major consequence of Mosley’s mission in Mexico … and this is something that she has to live with. Remember that Harley arrived to Los Angeles with Mosley and they had a closer relationship than Shay with anyone else on the team.

In a post on Instagram (see below), you can see what Bordeaux had to say about leaving the series, while also giving thanks to the cast and crew for all of their support. We do think that Harley kicked off season 9 as an outsider, and with that someone the team didn’t immediately trust. Yet, she became more popular and interesting as the season went along, especially when it came to her willingness to go against her boss when the situation called on it.
Ultimately, let’s cross our fingers that some great work comes Andrea’s way moving forward!
