Poldark season 5: Eleanor Tomlinson talks filming final season
So what does Eleanor Tomlinson feel about the series coming to a close right now? Speaking in a Twitter Q&A session last night in promotion of the season 4 premiere on PBS, she made it clear that it was “surreal” to be working on the final batch of episodes. She also notes just how enormous an impact that it has had on her, given that she first got the job when she was 21 and she is now 26 now. A lot changes in five years, and we know that Tomlinson already has another exciting role in The War of the Worlds, another British television adaptation.

We’ve long speculated that there could be a season 6 / some sort of reunion movie down the road for Poldark if the interest and enthusiasm seems to be there — for the time being, though, it feels a little too soon to be confident in anything there. Let’s just enjoy the final season for what it is — or, if you are located in America, you’ve got an opportunity to check out a number of super-entertaining season 4 episodes first!
At the moment, we project that season 5 will continue filming until at some point in the new year.
