The Resident season 2 episode 2 video: Conrad and Nic’s date night
At the moment, we’ve seen already that there are many crazy things going down with this show. There was a recent takeover at the hospital with Conrad’s father taking over, and we do think understanding his leadership is going to be one of the most important things that you are going to see on the series. He’s very used to being successful, but helping to run a hospital is very-much different than almost any different business-related thing that someone can do. There’s such a human element to it that is difficult for newcomers.
For Conrad and Nic, meanwhile, they’re somewhat used to the various odds and ends of the hospital — they’ve dealt with heartbreak and learned to compartmentalize. We are not going to say that the two of them are jaded, but they absolutely have figured out a way to handle the tough part of their job over time.
The larger question to wonder now is simply whether or not they are going to continue to succeed in their relationship — or if something else is going to come up and cause them to stumble. There is a reason why things between the two of them did not work out the first go-around, and that is something to remember and keep your eyes peeled on as we get a little bit deeper into the proceedings this time around.
The Resident season 2 episode 2 is going to air on Fox Monday night; to go along with this romantic scene, there are going to be some new characters entering the fray — including Jenna Dewan as Julian, someone who could turn out to be a major player at Chastain for some time.
