The Resident season 2 episode 2 video: See Jenna Dewan’s scene with Devon
So what do we know about her? Some of it is rather simple, as the World of Dance star is a medical device representative who is clearly there to try and move product. She makes it clear to Devon that she has a rather-great ability to detect doctors’ specialties right away; basically, she is really excellent at her job. She also has an interesting backstory: She is a former dancer who found a passion for this business after a devastating accident. She still has the scar to prove it.
It’s definitely clear from watching this that Julian is the sort of character who could take advantage of unsuspecting doctors for big profits. To go along with that, though, we also know that she is the sort of character who could also cause some other problems. There’s a real chemistry and a rapport here between her and Devon, and we do worry that she could cause some problems within his personal life. If that happens, the question that we’re left to wonder is if her feelings for Devon are genuine, or is all of this mostly just built on manipulation? We don’t think of Julian as a completely heartless character so we’re not sure we fully see the latter. She’s just very driven and knows how to be persuasive in the moment.
Ultimately, we are excited to see some of what’s going to be coming on The Resident over the rest of the season. There is potential for a lot of drama, and we know that Julian isn’t going to be going anywhere in the near future. She is someone who is coming on board the series with a great deal of potential to stir things up.
