Killjoys season 5 premiere date hopes: When will final season kick off?
Let’s start here with a reminder that the network actually renewed Killjoys for a fifth season many months ago! However, in doing so the bad news is that it was also revealed that season 5 was going to be the last one for the show on the air. In some ways, we will admit that we’re glad the renewal was so early given the big drop-off in ratings for season 4. We’re not 100% sure that the series would have gotten the chance for a proper conclusion otherwise, so suffice it to say, we are grateful.
The next order of business here is rather simple: Trying to figure out precisely when Killjoys season 5 will actually premiere, given that at the moment, there is no precise word on that. If we had to guess, we would say that new episodes are going to be available at some point in the summer of 2019 — provided, of course, that Syfy doesn’t have another place for them. We just think it would be surprising to mix things up all that much given that this is the timeslot that has worked for the series previously. With that in mind, why would you really want to shake things up all that much? We’re not sure that you would really want to.
We imagine that come the spring of next year, Syfy will announce a proper Killjoys season 5 premiere date. It’s certainly possible they choose to do so earlier, but we’d be surprised given that they don’t have a real need to hurry things along too much.
