NCIS season 16 episode 3 is entitled “Boom,” which has to be one of the shortest titles in the history of the show. It’s also one of the most self-explanatory titles.
While there’s going to be some action (and potentially a little bit of drama) within this episode, we actually think that this episode could prove itself to be reasonably funny thanks to its interesting connection to reality TV. It is also going to continue to give you more information on the aftermath to the big season 15 cliffhanger.
We have the NCIS season 16 episode 3 synopsis for you below, but we should caution you that there are some spoilers ahead about Vance’s fate following his kidnapping in the premiere:
“Boom” – One of the NCIS agents is starstruck after the team investigates an explosion outside the home of Navy Petty Officer First Class Todd Nicholas (Cameron Radice) and his wife, popular reality TV star Sheba Nicholas (Tara Holt). Also, Vance continues physical therapy for the injuries sustained when he was held hostage, on NCIS, Tuesday, Oct. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Obviously, Vance makes it through the kidnapping crisis, but there are still some serious issues that come about as a result of it. He could be spending at least some of this season in recovery; we don’t want that necessarily for the character, but this should offer Rocky Carroll some good material. This is the sort of character who typically loves being in control and having a position of power. This could shake him to his core and make him question his mortality.
On a different notes, wouldn’t it be funny if the starstruck agent was someone a little but unexpected? For those wondering, Tara Holt is best known for Z Nation, while Cameron Radice has appeared on Good Girls Revolt.
