Unforgotten season 4 renewal, Veronica Mars revival official, Doctor Who season 11 trailer (Quick Hits)

UnforgottenIn this edition of CarterMatt’s Quick Hits, we have another batch of stories — it’s turning out to be a very busy day and we don’t want you to miss anything!

Let’s kick things off over in the UK, with the news that the crime drama Unforgotten has been renewed for a fourth season. Lead characters Cassie and Sunny will be back, and we imagine that another intricate, complicated mystery awaits them.

In a new statement, here is what writer Chris Lang had to say on the subject:

“I am so delighted to have been asked to make a fourth series of Unforgotten. The reaction to series 3 was better than I could ever have expected (with more people watching the last episode than any other in all three series) and I cannot wait to discover what lies ahead for Cassie and Sunny, and to create a whole new cast of characters for them to grapple with.”

As for some other headlines…

Veronica Mars officially revived – Today, Hulu and series star Kristen Bell (see the Instagram post below) officially confirmed that the upcoming limited series revival is coming to the service next year! Not only that, but come next summer the entire library of the series, including the crowd-funded feature film, are also going to come to Hulu.

For every Marshmallow out there, this is likely music to their ears.

New Doctor Who season 11 trailer – If you look below, you can also take a look at the latest preview for the new season starting Jodie Whittaker prior to it returning to television in October. This one is a lot of fun as it features adventure, lighthearted humor, and some cool space effects. It is a little bit weird seeing the series feature pop music, but we feel like that’s probably just the trailer as opposed to the series as a whole.
