Suits season 8 midseason finale video: Samantha vs. Alex; Harvey vs. Zane
Given that the title for the episode is “Managing Partner,” we would say that the character you should be speculating about the most is none other than Robert Zane. He’s been serving in this role for most of the season, but we knew that eventually Harvey probably wasn’t going to like getting orders from someone else. Over the course of this coming episode we absolutely expect to see Harvey fight the moment that something reaches the breaking point.
Also, we do still worry about Robert Zane’s future given that Wendell Pierce is a regular over on Jack Ryan. How much can he really split his time between both shows? This is something that we imagine the finale is going to have to work to give us some answers on moving forward.
As for the other big story that is coming in this episode, expect for things to come to a head with Alex and Samantha, who were both promised name partner at the start of the season and neither one of them currently has it. This back-and-forth between them for the title has gone on long enough and if we have it our way, there is going to be a chance for us to get some answers on that. There’s only so much that Suits can continue to milk storylines that are focused around the showdown for name partner. It’s a storyline that we’ve really seen play out in a number of ways since the very start of the series; plus, they’ll have to change the theme song again if they add another name.
