The Flash season 5 goes meta with Ralph Dibny billboard promotion
The Flash season 5 is premiering on The CW this fall, but apparently someone at the network or studio Warner Bros. TV is getting a better clever in their promotion.
Below, you can see what is a rather fun billboard for the new season in Vancouver (where the show films), one that actually does reference the show itself but rather one of its characters in Ralph Dibny. Apparently, he has decided to market his private-eye business and is getting back in the saddle again. This billboard has a certain seedy quality to it, almost like it is one of those low-rent billboards that you would see for your local injury attorney. It’s fun that way, and it’s a nice Easter egg that could be a signal as to where things are going moving into the new season.

One thing to remember here is that entering season 5, there is certainly potential for Ralph and Barry Allen to try and work together in some capacity — there’s a lot of creativity that does come being being a PI, mostly because there aren’t any hard-and-fast rules that need to be followed.
Hopefully, for Ralph in particular moving into season 5 we have a chance to see something that is a little bit different and surprising — we hope that he comes a little bit more into his own, since we don’t really need to see another season from him that is all about him constantly questioning whether or not he is worthy of being a hero. That’s a trope that was probably played up a few times too many over the course of season 4.
New episodes of The Flash will be back on the air come October.
