Snowfall season 2 finale video: Franklin takes on prison

Snowfall season 2

Are you ready to see the Snowfall season 2 finale on FX Thursday night? We hope so, given that this one will be emotional.

After everything that Franklin has been through, and the decision that he made when it comes to Kevin, it was hard to know that it was going to end up quite like this. Yet, here we are. Moving into the next new episode it seems like he is ready to take on a life behind bars, one that is going to come with its own roadblocks — violence, a lack of bail, and maybe little hope of freedom. He killed and this is the consequence of it, though there were some extenuating circumstances that we really hope are considered at some point. Franklin killed mostly because he felt like he had to; he felt like this was really his only thing to do given the situation where Kev had his gun pointed right at the playground.

Yet, there is probably one more thing to wonder here: Is Franklin really going to end this season behind bars? If he does, we can’t imagine a season 3 keeping him there for long. One of the things that we’ve come to know about this guy over time is that he’s got a real knack for surviving no matter what’s thrown at him. Also, it’s not altogether desirable to have Snowfall suddenly turn into Oz, where the majority of the characters you find yourself rooting for are suddenly sitting behind bars. We like to think that we’re rooting for something different when it comes to this show.

Hopefully by the finale we’ll know about a renewal; if not, we’ll probably spend the next few weeks gritting our teeth until something is officially announced one way or the other.
