America’s Got Talent finalist spotlight: Is Courtney Hadwin the #1 favorite?
After all, just look at her resume so far in the show. Courtney has some of the most-popular performances of the entire season, she’s incredibly unique, and she has a story that is easy to digest and also fun for viewers. We’ve all probably felt super-shy at some point in our lives, and probably wish on some level that we were able to tap into a totally different part of themselves. Courtney does that. She’s a completely different person when she sings and she seems to absolutely live for it.

Do we think that Courtney could be a big star down the road? We certainly think so, mostly because she’s shown us the capacity to be that throughout this season. She can sing, she can dance, and she has no problem going for it on stage. Viewers appreciate her, and she’s never been even remotely in danger all season long.
What are her winner odds?
There are going to be a lot of people out there who say almost without blinking that Courtney will win this season; we’re not so sure of that, but a top-three finish feels almost guaranteed. She does have tough competition, especially from Shin Lim (who has been on the rise as of late) and also Michael Ketterer. The first thing that she needs to do in the finale is find the right song, something that showcases her voice but doesn’t just feel like everything else that she’s done on the show already. The second thing from here is that she needs to also sell herself even more as a person when she’s not performing. If she wants to be an ambassador for the show, she needs to illuminate that in almost everything she does.
Given that some other performers are probably going to up their game, Courtney will probably have to deliver the best performance of the entire season on Tuesday. If she does that, there’s a good chance she takes home the grind prize. Beyond AGT, we think she needs to get a band around her and start churning out some original music if she wants to have the best long-term career that she can.
