Forever season 2 renewal: Will it happen over on Amazon?
We have a lot of questions about this, mostly because Forever season 1 is in many ways an enigma in itself. The Fred Armisen – Maya Rudolph series was largely under the radar leading up to its premiere. There wasn’t some huge initiative in promoting what it is really all about. As a matter of fact, we hesitate to dive too much into the show here out of fear of spoilers. (Just know that, if you’re watching it, you need to give it a chance through at least the first two or three episodes.)
Ultimately, though, it is that twist that makes us all the more curious as to what a possible season 2 could look like. There are a number of interesting themes to explore here when it comes to relationships, mortality, and feeling as though you understand the world around you. While Armisen and Rudolph are fantastic comedic performers, there are some more personal scenes in this show that they excel at equally. This series is a fantastic showcase for the two of them to do something that is both incredibly real and also ethereal at the same time. It plays into the sort of imagination and creativity that they have as performers.
If Forever is renewed, we certainly don’t expect any more of the show in the near future. These two are incredibly busy people who often balance more than one project at the same time. We’d consider it a gift if we were to see more of the show at all in 2019, though anything is possible depending on how fast they are able to film some of these episodes. We just wouldn’t feel any need to hurry things along when you don’t need to.
