Take Two season 2 renewal odds: Could it actually happen at ABC?

With tonight’s finale in mind, what are the Take Two season 2 renewal odds over at ABC? That’s something we’re going to be looking to figure out within this article.

Ultimately, we think at the moment that the future of the series is very much up in the air — we can see a situation where it comes back, but also a situation where it meets a quick end and gets sent off to greener television pastures.

The biggest thing that Take Two has going for it is simply this: Fan enthusiasm. We do think that there’s been an ever-growing fan base this summer as more and more people have found the show and come to love it. Unfortunately, the reality here remains that these sort of things take time. You don’t just build a huge fan base overnight, and this show didn’t have many chances to built it during the year since it was on at a bad time of the week with bad lead-ins and also didn’t really have an opportunity to even air in the same timeslot all of the time due to the NFL.

So while we think Take Two has potential to grow its audience rather dramatically over the course of the next few months, it’s possible ABC doesn’t want to take the leap of faith and could cancel it outright. While the DVR ratings are good, the live numbers have been weak. We really do think that this renewal decision just comes down to this: Does the network believe that this show can grow its audience? We think that it’s worth the gamble, but we’re also not responsible for the network’s budget. They have tougher factors to weight here.

As for when we think a decision will be made, we think that, more than likely, we’ll know within a few months.
