Lethal Weapon season 3 promo: Things get crazy for Cole, Murtaugh

Lethal Weapon season 3

The latest Lethal Weapon season 3 promo is out, and one thing remains the same about Fox’s promotional strategy: They are doing everything that they can to hype up the dysfunction with Murtaugh and Wesley Cole.

As a matter of fact, the new promo below (via IGN) shows you a little more of the comedy that you can expect from the two of them together, in addition to of course some of the trademark action that you saw from the first two seasons.

One of the obvious questions you have to wonder here is whether or not we’re going to see Lethal Weapon as a whole become a little more comedic this season, given that you are bringing on board someone in Seann William Scott known for his comedic roles. Wayans, meanwhile, already has experience within the sitcom world from My Wife and Kids. This may be viewed as an opportunity for the writers to dive into more funny banter, while still trying to incorporate much of the familiar action that you’ve come to expect from this show.

Will this new iteration really work? This is something that we’ve talked about sporadically over time, including in the video below (be sure to subscribe to our CarterMatt You Tube channel and check out our Lethal Weapon playlist.).

We don’t think there’s any way to win over people who are angry that Clayne Crawford was fired from the show. They’ve already made their decision and Fox / the producers need to accept that and try to move forward. If they can figure out a way in which to keep some of the other fans that they have, while maybe bringing in some of Scott’s fans from his other work, they may have a shot to make this new version work. It’s going to be a challenge, but in renewing the show Fox said that they were willing to give it a shot.
