Blue Bloods season 9 spoilers: Eddie’s mom being cast; Danny Reagan scoop
According to a new report coming in right now through TV Guide, the CBS series is reportedly set to introduce Eddie’s mom at some point during this season — she’s set to be someone with a very different sort of perspective and outlook than Vanessa Ray’s character. Yet, we do think it’s important to meet her given that so much of the Jamko relationship is told through the lens of the Reagans. We need to get some other voices to help balance that out a little bit more.
The site also notes that on the professional side of things, one of the characters is going to be promoted to Sergeant — the easy guess there is Eddie, just because she is the one who took the exam last season. They will also be transferred to a new precinct, one that has some more danger to it and that causes even more problems for the two of them on the job.
Danny Reagan update
Remember when we said that we want to see Lou Diamond Phillips on more than one occasion as arsonist / crime boss Louis Delgado? Well, it seems as though that is something that we’re actually going to see happen, as this character turns out to be a formidable adversary.
There is also going to be a personal storyline coming for Danny, one related to seeing his oldest son Jack go off to college. That’s going to be emotional one for him given everything that the family has been through, especially when it comes to losing Linda over the past year. We do like that the series seems to be focusing more on Danny as a father rather than just trying to rush him out with another love interest.
