9-1-1 season 2 trailer all about saving the world — and danger

911 season 2

The latest 9-1-1 season 2 trailer has officially arrived via Fox and, as a whole, we do think that this one will get your blood pumping. It’s intense, personal, and a reminder of just how hard the job of a first responder really is.

Of course, you’ve got a number of familiar faces in here including Athena and Bobby, but then also the arrival of Buck’s sister Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who is coming to the call center team and will be thrown to the wolves pretty quickly after her arrival. Nobody has any real control over when emergencies happen and because of that, she has to be ready for what is going to be, more than likely, an extremely stressful time of her life.

If the goal here for Fox was to generate a massive amount of hype for the new season, we definitely do think that they’ve succeeded in that. 9-1-1 season 2 is looking already like it will be bigger and better than the first, and one of the biggest reasons for that is that they’ve really had time to build on what works and figure out how to make the show even better. We don’t want to say per se that the first season rushed, but it definitely came together rather quickly for a wide array of different reasons — mostly Fox realizing that it could be a big hit for them and wanting it to be out there for people rather quickly.

Oh, and for those wondering, the song in the trailer is “Save the World” by Swedish House Mafia — we haven’t been able to locate the artist behind this specific cover just yet.

The premiere episode is airing on Sunday, September 23 following the conclusion of NFL football on the night. Remember that the series will then start the following night in its normal Monday timeslot.
