Outlander season 4: Caitriona Balfe talks notable scenes, Jamie, Bree, and more
The past two days have turned out to be rather notable within the Outlander world! Not only have we had an opportunity to view the full season 4 trailer, but we’re also now celebrating a casting anniversary. It’s been five years (time flies!) since the amazing Caitriona Balfe was first cast as Claire Fraser, and in honor of that, she took part in a Twitter Q&A in order to touch on a wide array of topics.
We’ve got some of the more notable show-related tweets below, and in them, Balfe discusses how she’s excited for Claire and Bree this season, her favorite season 4 scene, and how the finale this year is especially significant. (We’ve heard already heard from Sam Heughan on the finale, which he thinks is one of the biggest that the show has done to date.)

Twitter Q&As featuring the stars are always fun, especially since they are a nice reflection of the great relationship that exist between all of the cast. There’s a lot of love on Outlander and we’re thrilled that we get a chance to see that really reflected even when production is not going. Caitriona at the moment is busy filming a project in California, which she hopes will be released at some point next summer. At that point, she will be more than likely hard at work on season 5, where she will get a chance to film during a beautiful Scottish summer — and hopefully one with fewer midges than season 4. (The pesky bugs were one of the biggest problems with the end of production this year — a few circumstances related to the climate caused the problem to really spiral out of control.)
