The Purge episode 3 preview: ‘The Urge to Purge’

When The Purge episode 3 airs on USA next week, you’re probably going to see a story that serves as a nice culmination to much of the craziness that we’ve had a chance to see so far this season.

Want to know some more information all about it? Well, the title for this upcoming hour is “The Urge to Purge,” and that in itself shows off some of the temptation that comes with being a part of this world. There are certainly many people out there who believe that everyone has a little bit of darkness within them, and we do feel like this show really does everything within its power in order to amplify that — while also freaking you out. This is a risky show in that it’s hard to really maintain momentum with horror week after week — so many people prefer to watch something in this genre all at once, so there needs to be a good balance between some of the scares and also the story. You have to care enough about some of these characters in order to keep coming back one week after the next.

Clearly, there still isn’t some huge temptation on the part of producers to want to give all that much away right now, but there’s also no real need in order to do that.
