Arrow season 7 spoilers: Felicity’s got a new look…
This is what we’re seeing at the moment when it comes to Emily Bett Rickards’ character of Felicity Smoak, judging from one of the first photos that we have of her brand new pink hair. She’s doing this presumably as a way to disguise herself following everything at the end of season 6. She has to contend with the fact that everyone knows the truth about her husband, which we imagine makes it rather hard to go public or do anything. Pretending to be someone else, at least for a certain period of time, should help to make life more manageable … or however manageable it can be in this sort of situation when much of it has fallen apart.

In a lot of ways, we like the change and in general, we wish that more television shows had characters trying on different looks (even if we recognize this one is a little bit dramatic). You see with a lot of shows people effectively donning the same look for several years at a time — while there are some people in life who do that, there are also a number of other people who like to change things up. While we doubt that Felicity is going to have her pink hair forever, we wouldn’t mind her keeping a few elements of the look — just like we wouldn’t mind Oliver keeping part of the prison goatee look at he has going for him right now. After all, this does have its roots firmly within the Green Arrow comics.
