Shadowhunters notes: PCAs motivation, other odds and ends

It’s been a fairly quiet period of time for Shadowhunters, but that’s to be expected at this point. The final season 3 episodes are not coming onto Freeform until next year, and we’re still so far away from that. Heck, there’s no word on if we’ll even get a trailer in the near future. We were hoping that there was going to be a chance to see a New York Comic-Con panel this year, but we haven’t spotted Shadowhunters on any schedules. This is disappointing, but also not much of a surprise — these panels are typically supported in part by networks, and Freeform probably isn’t going to want to help put on a panel for a show they already canceled. (We’ll let you know if that changes.)

For now, at least give some applause to co-showrunner Todd Slavkin for continuing to share some of the teasers that he has — including the photo below of Luke. Hopefully, he’s going to have a big story coming in the upcoming episodes!

One other things to remember this weekend is that there are still so many ways you can support the show, whether it be watching old episodes on Hulu or by voting for the cast at the People’s Choice Awards this year. The link here here, and remember that you can also vote via Twitter or Facebook in addition to the official site. As we’ve said already this week, a PCAs win doesn’t necessarily do anything when it comes to getting a season 4; yet, it’s certainly still good publicity and a nice thank-you to the cast and crew for making the best show that they possibly could. The first round of voting lasts through the coming week and ends on September 14; that means that there is plenty of time in order for you to get your votes in there. (You can also write in the cast members in other categories, if you wish.)
