How The Resident season 2 will explore Conrad and Nic’s past
Over season 1, one of the things that we had a chance to see is the road that brought the two former flames back together. Now, we are going to have a chance to see if they can stay that way — while also learning a thing or two more about what pushed them apart. Relationships are difficult and sometimes, there are conflicts and problems that come out of places that you do not expect.

Based on what executive producer Todd Harthan told Variety recently, one of the main goals for the series in the near future is give you a better sense of what happened to them the last time they were together. This goes along with him describing what’s going to happen with many other characters:
“The show is bigger, bolder and more emotional than ever. We have dynamic new characters including Jenna Dewan and Jane Leeves. Nic and Conrad are now together and fighting to make the relationship work. We deepen our understanding of their past and what obstacles are before them. Bell is up against a powerhouse and has to answer to Conrad’s father, Marshall. The two powerful men form a triangle with Conrad in the struggle to improve patient care at Chastain, with Conrad often in the middle. It’s always profits versus patients on ‘The Resident.’ Finally we have a giant new thriller arc and new patients put in jeopardy. The white coats have to take on some terrifying black hats It will be rollercoaster ride to the end of the season.”
Given that there are so many different stories happening on the show at the moment, why focus on CoNic? This is not really something that I’ve really focused too many of my articles on this summer, but it’s time. They are a couple to root for, and my main point of curiosity has been seeing what sort of conflict could come for the two of them. Now that I know that it will have to do with their past, it provides something tangible to be excited for in the midst of all of the other storylines that have their own degrees of excitement.
