Big Brother 20 surprise: Nicole Franzel, Victor Arroyo engaged!
Apparently, in the time in which the live feeds were down the two former season 18 contestants spent some time in the house — and, while there, the two were officially engaged! This isn’t the first time that former houseguests have gotten engaged in the house (it’s happened previously with Jeff and Jordan), but it’s still a rare moment within the game.

In some ways, it is still funny that Big Brother seems to have every bit as good of a track record with marriages as The Bachelor / The Bachelorette, and they are not even trying for romance anywhere near as much! There are multiple married couples out there, but Nicole and Victor are a little bit similar to Dominic Briones and Daniele Donato in that they weren’t actually together in the house. Instead, Nicole was with Corey for much of season 18. They first were linked romantically outside the house and have dated for some time now.
More than likely, this engagement will be featured on Sunday’s new episode of the show, unless of course producers opt to air things out of order. It just seems likely that this is when they will do it given that they don’t have a lot of content for the Sunday show at the moment.
I’m obviously very happy for Nicole and Victor. It can be super-easy to be cynical about all things Big Brother while watching the game, but these two made things work outside of the game while also dating long-distance for some of the time. I know what that’s like and it’s great to see that they found a way to make it work!
