This Is Us season 3: Sterling K. Brown, cast detail what lies ahead (video)
While the video below doesn’t necessarily give away too much as to what’s ahead, there are some really nice teases in here. Take, for example, getting to see more of Jack and Rebecca in the past. If you remember back during the season 1 finale “Moonshadow,” we had a chance to see for the first time precisely how Jack and Rebecca first met. Early on this season, you will have more of an opportunity to better understand what came directly after that. Also, you’ll get a chance to see more of Jack back in Vietnam and how that experience altered his life — while, at the same time, we also get to see Kevin retracing some of his father’s footsteps in the country with Beth’s cousin Zoe at his side. (You’re also going to see more of how she ended up on that plane with him.)
Also in the present, be prepared to see more of Randall and Beth trying to determine if Deja is meant to be with them, while Kate and Toby see if having a family is truly in their future. We also are going to see, per Sterling K. Brown, an answer to who he and an older version of Tess, are speaking about in a flash-forward.
In case you didn’t know, the photo above is the official key art for season 3 — it does feel perfect for fall, though admittedly it is a little bit weird seeing adult versions of Beth, Randall, and Kevin around Jack when he is largely the same as them. Also, why aren’t any of these people happy? Maybe their facial expressions are indicative of how we feel after watching an episode of this show.
