Ballers season 4 episode 5 preview: Spencer looks to the next level

Ballers season 3 episode 8

On Ballers season 4 episode 5 next week, you’re going to have a chance to see some exciting stuff for Spencer and company. He is, after all, looking to take his business to another level, something that it feels like he is always willing and interested in doing. He’s a guy who is always trying to push for the next big thing, sometimes to his own detriment since it really is important sometimes to stop in and think things through.

Below, the Ballers season 4 episode 5 synopsis offers up some other information and news when it comes to what lies ahead:

Spencer looks to elevate the SportsX TV brand, while Joe weighs a new offer; at Jayda’s insistence, Spencer meets Quincy; Ricky tries to prove to Kisan he’s still got the goods, while Charles is encouraged by Julie to bring more flair to his job.

The Ricky story at this point is a very familiar one — a story about an athlete who is trying to find his place again in the world, and someone who still thinks that he can be immune to age and different teams. It’s a story that is relatable in the sense that we see a number of different athletes go through this at some point in their careers. The long-term effects of Ricky’s efforts are probably the most interesting part of this story.

As for the ratings…

We do like to monitor this, even though we don’t think the show is in any danger of being canceled. This past episode actually approved its total viewership back up close to 1 million. Sure, Ballers is down significantly versus season 3, but we don’t know what else you could really expect. It doesn’t have Game of Thrones paired with it in the lineup this year.
