Gotham season 5 bringing you plenty of Bruce – Selina scenes

Gotham

Gotham season 5 has been filming for a little while now, and with that, we’re starting to get a sense that Bruce and Selina’s roles are going to be very important.

After all, there are already a number of set pictures out there, including some shown off by show writer producer Tze Chun. In these images, it does look as though the two characters are working together and are on the same page. That’s not something that we’ve always seen throughout the series, but what Bruce is probably recognizing is that Selina has developed a worldview on Gotham that is not all that different from his own. He’s going to need allies out in the streets if he does want to become Batman down the road (not that he is aware of this), and Selina is a good ally to have. She’s always going to have her own agenda and probably won’t always follow Bruce’s lead, but when the two have a chance to work together, they should — there are so many threats out there in Gotham that they can work to take out.

While Selina may not have too much in common with many of Batman’s eventual adversaries, we do think that she has one thing in common with Oswald: She doesn’t want to see the city in ruins. It benefits her if Gotham is still standing in some shape or form given that this means that there is a city for her to still roam around in. She may be willing to work with Bruce both now and in the future if it gives her an opportunity to still work underneath the surface.

Regardless of whether or not Bruce and Selina become a romantic full-fledged relationship in the final season, the most important thing is that there are more interesting dynamics added to the mix. These characters are becoming more adult and with that, we expect different emotions and priorities than before.
