Crime Dynamic Duos 2018: Lucifer and Chloe of Lucifer are the winners!

Crime Dynamic Duos

The Crime Dynamic Duos 2018 tournament is officially coming to a close today, and we are very much pleased to crown the winner!

As the title above clearly indicates, it is the duo of Lucifer & Chloe from Netflix’s Lucifer that have taken the title this year! They entered the tournament this year as a #1 seed off of the strength of a campaign to save the show earlier this summer, and it united Lucifans in a way that we rarely see. They’re one of the most powerful fandoms out there and the lover for these characters are strong.

While we know that the Deckerstar ‘ship is a big one, what makes this tournament great is that you can root for Lucifer / Chloe to win here regardless of whether or not you see them as a romantic couple. They’ve got so many different things that they bring to the table, whether it be humor, a strong partnership, or an ability to fight and care for each other when the stakes are high and it doesn’t look like there is any way that they are going to be able to escape a difficult situation. Sure, the chemistry is also there and we are, personally, rather curious to see what the two look like if they become a full-fledged romantic couple in season 4. Credit also has to go here to Tom Ellis and Lauren German, who do a wonderful job as these characters and without them, they simply would not be the same. They’re the foundation for all things Lucifer and Chloe.

As for the runner-up this year, commiserations have to go to Steve & Danny from Hawaii Five-0 for another hard-fought campaign. This is the second straight year that they have finished second in this tournament, but who knows? Maybe 2019 is the year that they will be able to climb to the next level. After all, we feel like both of these duos are going to be back as #1 seeds again next August…
