Killjoys season 4 episode 8 preview: ‘It Takes a Pillage’

Killjoys season 4

Want to know what lies ahead on Killjoys season 4 episode 8? Let’s start things off here with the title of “It Takes a Pillage,” which we love because it harkens back to pirates / vikings — and who doesn’t love those? It’s the perfect backdrop for any episode discussion. While we don’t actually think that episode titles for this series should be taken literally, it’s still a fun indication as to what the writers are thinking — plus also a pretty good thematic teaser for what we could be seeing coming up.

Below, the Killjoys season 4 episode 8 synopsis offers up a little bit more information as to what’s coming up:

An awkward Jaqobis homecoming takes a deadly turn as Dutch and Zeph risk everything for science.

So, basically, you’re going to see a potential suicide mission for Dutch and Zeph … how is that new? Well, the circumstances are different, but they know a thing or two about being in this particular position. This isn’t exactly all that different.

We tend to discuss the ratings in these preview articles, and the numbers from 4×06 are about what you would expect based on what we’ve seen to date: A 0.1 in the 18-49 demographic and then slightly less than 400,000 viewers. It’s pretty close to where it’s been most of the season. We were hoping for a while that the numbers would rise so that this season could end with a bang (or at least be closer to what it was during the third season). However, that hasn’t happened and with that, we’re now crossing our fingers just that the show can wrap up this season in a way that’s satisfying. Season 5 is the final year for Killjoys, and we want it to have a joyful ending with a solid audience tuning in for it. Fingers crossed that happens.
