The Last Ship season 5 episode 3 will emphasize diplomacy in some form

Last Ship season 5 episode 1

Are you excited for The Last Ship season 5 episode 3 to come on the air? We think there’s a lot to be interested in, especially when it comes to us getting a chance to see a spirit of cooperation. (Granted, there’s a lot to be excited about before we even around to these episodes.) The fifth season in particular seems to be all about the threat of war on a global level, and whether or not we’re going to have a chance to see Tom Chandler or some of the other characters work to stop it before it gets too bad. While everyone does love to watch a good action sequence on TV, there’s also a recognition with this particular program that violence isn’t always the answer and it really should be. There are some better ways to ensure that everyone can survive and not everything needs to be a bloodbath.

Below, The Last Ship season 5 episode 3 synopsis (via SpoilerTV) offers up some more information when it comes to the series:

With nations being rapidly occupied, Chandler tries his hand at diplomacy to unite two hostile countries so they can fight a common enemy.

For Chandler, diplomacy hasn’t always been his first option — yet, he understands the stakes here, but this also shows an evolution as a character. We think that we’re in a particularly interesting era of TV, one that is about finding a way to get to the other side of turmoil. We like to think that, despite everything that happens on The Last Ship, that this is a hopeful show with a good message at the end of it. We just have to wait and see what sort of hardship comes to the crew of the Nathan James before they get there — provided that our sense of the series is even correct.
