The Resident season 2 spoilers: More teases on Jenna Dewan’s role
One of the first assumptions that we understand many people making when it comes to Dewan’s role is that she’s going to be some sort of love interest for Matt Czuchry’s character of Conrad Hawkins; however, that’s not actually the case. The plan here, refreshingly, isn’t to have her come in and be some sort of wrench in the relation of Conrad and Nic. They may have some other storylines that cause a little drama, but she isn’t going to be in the middle of them.
With that being said, though, it does seem very much possible that this character, who is a medical device representative who can be very persuasive, is going to cause a little bit of drama elsewhere. Speaking via TVLine on that particular subject, here is some of what executive producer Todd Harthan had to say:
“She does have a strong soap storyline, and she has a strong professional storyline … But it is not going to be the wrench thrown into our Conrad and Nic relationship.”
To us, we just like that we are getting a really good story coming up this season with a lot of interesting twists — medicine is still going to be at the center of everything, but it’s just as important that we care about the doctors and get some stories beyond just the case-of-the-week plots.
The Resident season 2 is going to premiere on the air come Monday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We’re going to have plenty of story to discuss in the weeks ahead!
