Crime Dynamic Duos finale: Hawaii Five-0, Lucifer pairs to face off

We’ve made it to the end of the road of our Crime Dynamic Duos tournament this year, and it certainly looks like we’ve got a good finale set up for tomorrow!

Today, the results from the fourth round of the tournament were made official, and with that Hawaii Five-0 is officially going to be entering the tournament for the second straight year! The pair of Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams have always been very popular around CarterMatt and for good reason — they’re funny, engaging, and they care about each other on a personal level. To be both popular and super-memorable within the world of television these days, you have to be so many different things — it’s not just about having a good partnership on the job.

Last year, Steve and Danny fell in the finals to Major Crimes duo Sharon and Andy in their final year of eligibility … will the result be any different this time around?

The opponents for Steve and Danny this time are absolutely formidable in Lucifer and Chloe from Lucifer, who have been super-strong in the tournament from the start. While this isn’t the first time that the series has been included in a CarterMatt poll, we’ve seen an unprecedented rise in support ever since the cancellation at Fox earlier this year. That galvanized and brought together the Lucifans in a way that few other things have and that made them all the more unified, active, and engaged. Lucifer and Chloe are popular for many of the same reasons that Steve and Danny are, but they also have a will-they-or-won’t-they romance included in there, as well. Basically, there’s a lot to like!

Stay tuned, as tomorrow we’re going to be back in order to present the final showdown of the tournament. Once the polls are open, they will remain that way until September 1 when the winner is announced.
