NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 will feature a Densi wedding!
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, show executive producer R. Scott Gemmill confirmed that this very moment will finally be coming up later this year:
“We are excited to finally see that happen this year, probably after Christmas … A meme that developed between Kensi and Deeks, where he said she smells like sunshine and gunpowder. Their wedding will be a perfect example of that.”
There are so many takeaways from this, but let’s start with this: It’s confirmation that Deeks does survive the cliffhanger at the end of last season! While there have been some set photos out there for a while suggesting this very thing, there hadn’t been much in the way of on-the-record confirmation from show producers on it. It’s nice to know this with confidence, and it does leave me even more excited to see what the series is going to deliver later this year!

From my vantage point, I know that it would be great to see this wedding happen in February around Valentine’s Day. However, NCIS: Los Angeles often takes a huge hiatus in the first couple of months of the year so that it can avoid airing opposite awards shows and the NFL. More than likely, this is something that will happen in March — unless CBS does something a little bit crazy with their scheduling.
At least you can rest easy with the knowledge that this is happening. There were probably a lot of people out there who wanted to see it earlier and understandably so. Yet, the writers clearly wanted to take their time and present the best, most authentic wedding for these characters possible. That was more important than just rushing a ceremony together for the sake of quick ratings.
