Blue Bloods season 9 episode 1 photos: A happy Jamko; Erin’s promotion
The first thing that we obviously have to talk about here are Jamie and Eddie, who look happier in the photo than we’ve seen them in almost any photo ever. As for the reasoning here, do we really need to tell you? They’re engaged! Romantically, they have a reason to be happy that they’ve never quite had before. While they’ve had love interests here and there through the series’ run, it’s been pretty clear for a while that these two characters are meant for each other and over the course of this season, there is going to be a real chance to actually explore this properly. It’s probably a bad idea to just assume that the two are going to be happy and totally immune to any problems, but we do think that they’re well on their way at this point to having a great future together. They just have to remember patience, since even though they know each other well, they haven’t really been a couple before.
Meanwhile, the second photo that we’ve got from this episode features Erin Reagan, presumably ready to begin an exciting new phase of her life. She is getting a promotion early on this season and that will come with its own exciting challenges. (For those afraid that the promotion means no more Anthony, don’t worry — that character is still going to remain a big part of the series.
