Criminal Minds season 14: New Matthew Gray Gubler episode tease

Criminal Minds

For everyone wondering about what’s going on with Criminal Minds season 14 at the moment, know this: Matthew Gray Gubler has just wrapped up his latest episode as director. More so than that, this is his thirteenth time in the chair — a perfect reminder of his love for creepy things.

If you hadn’t seen some of our previous reports on the subject, Gubler’s episode appears to be the fourth one of this season, which should air right around Halloween — or possibly even the week before Halloween on October 31. It’s certainly another thing that suits his sensibility. One of the other things that we know about this episode is that title title for it is “The Tall Man,” which feels on paper like a play on Slender Man. The same could be said for the image below that Gubler posted on Twitter — this could be something that is actually featured in the episode, or this could just be a super-creepy image that he is putting out there for everyone to think about leading up to it.

Odds are, this episode is either going to be about some sort of UnSub who has an affinity for creepy and dangerous mythology … or they actually believe that such a being exists. Could they? You can always argue that there is a killer who is a really tall man and their mythology is being twisted and changed into something else.

No matter what happens, we’ve certainly come to know from some of Gubler’s past episodes that he is always willing to push the envelope and do some new things. We don’t foresee him breaking that tradition here, either.
