Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 7 preview: Wynonna and Nicole’s mission

Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 7 is coming up on Syfy next Friday, and this episode looks to be a little bit different than your standard one. Yet, at the same time is there ever a standard episode for this show? It certainly doesn’t feel like, given that we have a tendency to see things shift and evolve on a near-constant basis.

Lady Luck seems to have abandoned Wynonna and Nicole when an errand for Nedley goes terribly wrong. Mama discovers Doc’s secret.

First and foremost, we love the idea of Wynonna and Nicole being off on their own mission, largely because it’s something that we don’t get to see enough of. Also, it’s a nice bit of bonus campaigning for the two of them in our CarterMatt – Crime Dynamic Duos article series, which we have been putting on for the vast majority of the month. These two still have a good bit to learn about each other separately from the relationship they each have with Waverly, and this could be a chance to explore that.

As for the Mama storyline, basically what we’ve seen so far this season is that everything when it comes to this character is interesting and somewhat-unexpected. We don’t really think that the writers need to do something altogether different when ir comes to their approach to this character — at least for now. What we are a little more curious about is learning whether or not Mama is the sort of character who could stick around beyond this season. If Megan Follows is available and the story is right, why not find a way to continue it in some shape or form?

We are about at a halfway point of season 3 now, so no matter what, be prepared to see season 3 only get crazier from here.
