Will & Grace season 10: White Collar alum Matt Bomer to guest star!
For those of you who love Matt Bomer as much as we do, and love seeing him in a comedic capacity, you’ll love this new Will & Grace casting news!
Today, NBC officially announced that Bomer is going to be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of the legendary sitcom, where he is going to be playing a sly, smooth-talking TV news anchor who is very confident in himself (possibly overconfident). He will also be a possible romantic interest for Eric McCormack’s Will.
We love the idea of getting Matt on the show because he’s a super-funny guy who doesn’t get enough opportunities to show off his comedic side. He was a lot of fun back on Glee as Blaine’s brother Cooper Anderson, and for those of you who were Chuck fans, he was involved in some comedic moments as Bryce Larkin. Some of his other TV roles including American Horror Story: Hotel, White Collar (one of our favorites!) also The Last Tycoon, a fascinating show that ended far too early.
One of the things that likely aids Will & Grace so much when it comes to its castings is likely the show’s legacy. While its ratings are a big draw, there are probably many actors who have spent the past couple of decades watching old episodes and loving them. This is a series that every actor should want to be a part of, largely because it has so much history and you get to work with great performers like McCormack and Debra Messing.
The latest season of Will & Grace premieres this fall, and we have a feeling that there are some other castings that we’re going to have a chance to hear more about in the weeks ahead.
