Animal Kingdom season 4 premiere date, story hopes for TNT drama

Following tonight’s finale, when will the Animal Kingdom season 4 premiere date be? We are going to do our best to help provide you with some answers!

Of course, let’s start this article off with a reminder that there is going to be a fourth season of the TNT drama. This was confirmed a good while ago, so there hasn’t really ever been any worry when it comes to whether or not the series is going to come back. It’s been locked down for a while and that’s a nice thing to know going into the finale. We just find it refreshing to be able to watch episodes at the end of the season without being too fearful about being left with a cliffhanger followed by a potential cancellation.

Now, as for when Animal Kingdom season 4 will premiere … think next summer. There’s just no reason for TNT to want to change things up when what they are doing with the show already works so well for them. The ratings for the third season were pretty outstanding. It actually drew better ratings for most of the third season than the season before. For those wondering, it is also averaging more total viewers than the first season — in this era of DVR where there are so many different viewing options out there, that is pretty incredible since most shows lose viewers year to year — and even more so when you consider that Scott Speedman exited the series in the premiere.

So what do we want to see in season 4? Mostly, the show staying the course. We wouldn’t worry so much about casting a big-name actor to draw more attention to the show, largely because the series doesn’t actually need it. Remember here that Denis Leary, despite the hype around Billy, didn’t have all that much to do at the end of the day. It feels in retrospect like a whole lot of that story could’ve been cut out.
