Is Power new tonight on Starz? On season 5 episode 8 and more
Unfortunately, the truth here is that there is no new episode tonight, and you won’t get a chance to see season 5 episode 8 until August 26. It’s strange to have a week off in the midst of a premium-cable drama like this, but Power has done this before. Consider this a chance to recharge the batteries, take a deep breath, and then prepare for whatever sort of crazy stuff is going to be coming for the rest of the season. There are only a few episodes left, and we imagine that there is going to be a lot of material that the show needs to address within a reasonably short period of time.
Take, for example, the walls that seem to be closing in on Angela and for good reason after she tried her best to obstruct the Ray Ray investigation. Meanwhile, Ghost and Tasha both are in danger of the truth getting out — or at least a version of the truth where one of them killed Ray Ray. It may not be the truth, but they’d easily sell themselves out before they throw Tariq under the bus. If they were willing to do that, they would probably have done it by now.
As we start to move forward, there are a number of other interesting questions to ponder over, including whether or not we could see a major character die or if Dre is really going to be defeated. At the moment, Ghost seems to view him as the key to getting him and his family out of trouble — but that’s probably going to be a quest that is so much easier said than done. The same goes here for trying to resolve everything right now surrounding Teresi and Tommy, a situation that is getting messier by the day.
