Criminal Minds season 14: Five things we want to see
One of the things that we should note especially here is that even though Criminal Minds may only have 15 episodes for its upcoming season, that is still a great deal of time in order to tell a story! It seems completely crazy to suggest anything otherwise. There’s a lot of room for everything that we do love about this show, whether it be great opportunities to feature the individual characters or also some opportunities to tell freaky stories featuring various UnSubs.
Below, we’ve got five different things that will help to ensure that this is the best season of the crime procedural in years.

1. An epic Big Bad – Whether it be the cult from the end of last season or someone totally new, we do think that Criminal Minds needs some sort of epic adversary to keep some of our characters constantly on their toes. It adds to the danger, which is in part what makes this show more interesting than just a standard UnSub every week.
2. Every character gets a spotlight episode – Even with the shorter episode count, there is still plenty of room for every team member to get at least one personal spotlight, if not more.
3. Callbacks – We’d like to see at least one former series regular / recurring player stop by, just to further remind us of the show’s history. We’re always game, personally, for a little more Shemar Moore.
4. The horrors of the times – While every episode shouldn’t necessarily be ripped-from-the-headlines, we do think that the writers owe themselves to think a little bit about some of the stories that people are out there actively talking about in 2018 and play into some of that.
5. An epic finale – We absolutely want there to be a great ending for the season, something that either wraps up some key storylines or dares CBS to give them another season. (Preferably, we’d hope CBS would tell them in advance of this is the final season.)
