The Last Ship season 5 episode 1 spoilers: First details on premiere

Last Ship season 5 episode 1

You’ve been forced to wait a very long time, but come September 9 The Last Ship season 5 episode 1 is going to air over on TNT. With that, there is a reasonably good chance that we’re going to see some excellent drama along the way. This first episode, entitled “Casus Belli,” should be a fascinating reintroduction to what the world of this show is like years removed from the end of season 4.

For those wondering, the episode title is a Latin phrase translated to mean “an act or event that provokes or is used to justify war.” Basically, something that happens involving the U.S. Navy and Tom Chandler could end up sending the war into an uproar. This is arguably the most global of the seasons yet, largely because people are finally starting to recover from the Red Flu and the potential end of the world. However, there are some other surprises that could come out over time.

For a little more news regarding just what you can expect, all you have to do is check out The Last Ship season 5 episode 1 synopsis below:

Three years after overcoming the global famine, the United States Navy is ready to unveil its first fully functional fleet since the Red Flu pandemic, but a new type of threat may mean the next world war.

Over the course of this season, the thing that we’re probably anticipating more so than anything is just getting a chance to see some of these characters tested … and to also see just how much they’ve really learned from everything that they’ve been through. With this being the final season, we absolutely do imagine this being a culmination of virtually the entire story to date.
