Disenchantment episode 11 return date hopes for Netflix comedy

Disenchantment

Following today’s premiere, what should the Disenchantment episode 11 return date be over on Netflix?

The first thing that we should point out in this article when it comes to the highly-anticipated comedy from Matt Groening (The Simpsons) is strictly this: There are actually twenty episodes in its season 1 order. That means that there are going to be ten more premiering in the future, more than likely at some point in 2019. We wouldn’t be surprised if you had to wait a little while to get them, largely because of the fact that animation takes time, and also beyond that Netflix probably would like to fill a void between the first and a potential second season coming out.

Do we think that Disenchantment will get a second season? We think that it’s likely, mostly just because good animated shows sometimes do take some time to completely come together. Also, we have a hard time thinking that Netflix is going to want to cancel a show from a guy of Groening’s caliber. They probably just have to plan these renewals in a different way than they would a standard scripted show just because episodes have to be made so far in advance. This is not South Park, where stories can be re-worked reasonably close to them airing. Careful planning is at times key to great animation.

Our hope is that the remaining episodes of Disenchantment will air on Netflix in the spring — that feels like a perfect time to launch them, provided that they’re ready and Netflix has the room remaining in their schedule.

If you do want a little more insight when it comes to the series, take a look at the video below! Groening made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night to discuss Disenchantment, The Simpsons, and how one of his kids at one point felt like Family Guy was so much hipper and cooler than his own show.
