The Resident season 2 promo: Conrad, Nic, and more are back!
Are there any huge spoilers in here? Not necessarily, but this does serve as a nice introduction to what the series is for new viewers. The Resident is telling a story that is, in part, about heroism and about characters making difficult decisions in the moment. Things have not always been easy for Conrad and Nic, but they’ve somehow found a way to persevere … even in the aftermath of taking on Dr. Lane Hunter for the better part of season 1.
Moving into the new season, one of the biggest challenges is going to be the increased presence of Conrad’s father running the hospital behind the scenes, something that feels like it will be a source of tension between him and his son. It’s still so much better in order than having Dr. Bell running things, given his penchant for throwing people under the bus and doing things the wrong way.
Beyond just this, Malcolm-Jamal Warner is now a series regular in the role of AJ a.k.a. The Raptor, and you are also going to see a guest stint from Jenna Dewan, who is also hosting World of Dance and has another show coming to Netflix in the near future in Mixtape. For those wondering, it’s also a pretty-intentional move on the part of Fox to promote 911 season 2 at the end of the promo. We think that the network is working really hard to make these two shows into a package deal so that watching them feels a little more like an event and the ratings for one show will, in turn, end up helping the other.
