Chicago Med season 4: Should Will and Natalie be engaged?
Think back now to the end of season 3, which really shouldn’t be that hard since the photo above is a dead giveaway for what happened. In the midst of a time of relationship crisis for Will — after all, Natalie had finally found out the truth about the hookup he had when they were on a “break.” Will wanted to make a commitment to her to show that he was committed to her, and that’s when he got down on one knee. It was a big moment for him and a sign of his deepest possible feelings.

Yet, was the timing really right for the proposal? That’s still something that I’m left to wonder since the two were just in the middle of a fight and the proposal shouldn’t be used as just a way to wash away some of those feelings. They’re still there. Natalie may want to be engaged to Will, but she may not want to be under these particular circumstances. As you can tell, there are some issues that the two need to work through.
If I had to cultivate a theory for the start of season 4, it would go something along the lines of this: Will and Natalie are not engaged at present, but they’re together and on their way to getting there. I don’t think that Natalie wants to remember her engagement as coming in the midst of all this other drama, and if they patch things up, there are certainly going to be some other opportunities coming up in the future for him to propose again in a way that is even more romantic and memorable. Maybe you can even find a way to get some of the other doctors involved!
I still have high hopes for the future of Manstead, but there’s also probably a need to exercise some patience. I would say that about the series in general given that the premiere is not slated to air until Wednesday, September 26. Odds are, there will be more opportunities for discussion before then.
