The Resident season 2 promo will air during Teen Choice Awards
In a new post on Twitter, show executive producer Amy Holden Jones confirmed that there will be a new promo that airs during the Teen Choice Awards on Fox Sunday night. If you’re watching the show, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for it. Even if you’re not watching, this is at least something to keep your eyes peeled for after the fact.
To date, there have been a few different details revealed for the second season, starting with the fact that you are going to see Dr. Lane Hunter again. This character may have been arrested, but she does still have a role to play. Meanwhile, Malcolm-Jamal Warner is now a regular as AJ a.k.a. The Raptor, and Jenna Dewan is also going to be stopping by for a significant role at some point. (Does anyone remember the Lucy Lane storyline for her on Supergirl? That’s something that we’d love to see revisited at some point.) We also know that Conrad’s father now has a prominent leadership position at Chastain, and with him sticking around all of a sudden things are going get even more complicated at the hospital.
Basically, we think that The Resident season 2 is going to keep a lot of the stuff that you loved about season 1 (great characters, ethical battles with the doctors) and find some new ways in which to accelerate it. The show premieres on Fox this fall, and is set to be a part of a really great lineup this year with 9-1-1 following it at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. We’re excited to have coverage of it every step of the way.
