Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5: Get ready for more Zoie Palmer

Wynonna Earp

Want to know what lies ahead on Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5? Well, it starts with none other than Zoie Palmer.

Whether you’ve watched Lost Girl, Dark Matter, or both, odds are you’re a big fan of some of Palmer’s work. The actress made her debut on tonight’s new episode, and it seems to be carrying through into next week’s — which is fittingly titled “Jolene,” which probably makes you think of Dolly Parton (at least if you are of a certain age).

Below, the Wynonna Earp season 3 episode 5 synopsis offers up a little bit more information as to precisely what you can expect to see moving forward:

“A demon causes havoc in town as Wynonna, Waverly and Jolene must decide who they can trust.”

That’s not the biggest tease in the world, but we figure that for many out there, just learning that Palmer is going to be sticking around is enough to be excited.

What we learned tonight about Jolene is that she carries with her the ability to put some of our favorite characters almost completely under a spell — whether or not she is a demon herself remains to be seen but she seems to be able to make everyone else think that they aren’t in any trouble at all. That’s extremely dangerous given that it allows potentially another demon to do whatever they want to the town while these characters are none the wiser.

The cool thing about Jolene is that she helps to introduce a different dynamic into the show that we haven’t seen before. However, the bad thing about Jolene is that this dynamic is not favorable to any of the other characters in the slightest.
