Chicago Fire season 7: Five things to expect this fall

Chicago Fire

What’s coming up on Chicago Fire season 7? That’s what the focus of this particular article is all about! We know that there’s been a lot of information that’s been floating around out there, and it may be helpful to have a lot of it in one convenient place.

Below, you can see a list of the five different things that we think are the most important to keep in mind all about the upcoming season. For more on this subject, be sure to check out the video below and subscribe for some more updates.

1. No Dawson – This news has been out there for a good while, but it is still good to reiterate — Monica Raymund is not coming back. The door is always open for more Dawson, but we’re not banking on her entering at some point in the near future.

2. New characters – Emily the paramedic, Jerry the Assistant Deputy Commissioner, and Chloe the office worker / possible new love interest are coming on board. With Emily, it’s going to be fun to see a new partner for Brett; meanwhile, Jerry could cause some tension with Casey or Boden while Chloe could be a replacement for Connie … if she ends up at Firehouse 51 at all.

3. More crossovers – Given that all three One Chicago shows are airing on one night, don’t be shocked if there are a few more epic events staged. We know that in particular, it was hard for there to be a lot done with Chicago Med and it would definitely be great to see that changed.

4. A ton of danger – As we’ve reported previously via showrunner Derek Haas, the second episode of this season is going to be one of the most frightening to date for some of the show’s characters. You’ve got a lot to look forward to with the premiere, but it goes beyond just that.

5. This likely isn’t the end – While it’s a little too early to confirm a season 8, we definitely don’t get the sense that the cast or crew is preparing to close the doors of Firehouse 51 this season.
