The Last Ship season 5 promo: Another look at the chaos to come
Recently, TNT finally confirmed that the latest batch of episodes is going to be premiering on Sunday, September 9 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. They released a new promo to go along with it, but the latest one below (thanks to the fine folks at @LastShipTV for the find) gives you a better sense of the action — and also a number of your favorite characters.

This preview does also serve as a reminder to some of the chaos that will be at the heart of this show time around. We’re gearing up for a story that is, by and large, about panic, misinformation, cyber-attacks, and the value of proper communication. We’re gearing up presumably for World War III, and it’s a war that nobody really wanted. This entire promo is a very-clear reminder of the dangers that do come with technology, especially when there are those out there who strive to manipulate it in order to serve some of their own purposes.
This is the season that will test Chandler, Slattery, Sasha, and many of your other Nathan James favorites in ways that we haven’t seen before. It’s a story of action and diplomacy, and it feels fitting that this is the final season given that every single thing that they have learned over time is going to prove useful here. If they pool their resources and do their best in order to work together, there’s a chance they may be able to achieve their desired results by the end of the series.
