In this edition of TV Quick Hits CarterMatt has a few different stories worth sharing, but let’s kick things off with news on Will & Grace — a Friends favorite is coming!

Via a report from Deadline, David Schwimmer is going to come on board the upcoming season as a new love interest for Grace and that his appearance on the show will span five episodes. It’s going to be fun to get David back on NBC, even if we have a rather-hard time imagining that this will lead to the Friends revival that so many are currently hoping to get.

As for some other news from the day…

New Good Trouble tease – The The Fosters spin-off series is being planned at the moment to launch in the new year, and while the latest tease (via Freeform) isn’t super-substantial, it does give you a good sense as to the hopeful tone that the series is going for moving into the show. There will be some drama, but this is going to be a show about optimism and hoping for a better future much like the original show did.

Good Trouble is going to star Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez in the roles of Callie and Mariana, with occasional appearances by some other members of the core cast.

Max Joseph leaving Catfish – Finally, let’s turn to a major shake-up that is impacting one of MTV’s longest-running and most-controversial series. In a new post on Instagram, here is some of what Max had to say on this particular subject:

“Hey guys, the time has come, sadly, for me to move on from Catfish … Working on this show for the last seven years has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I’ve learned a lot about myself, my country and human nature in general. Nev and I have become brothers and our bromance has blossomed before your eyes.”

It definitely does appear as though the series is going to go on, but it certainly won’t be the same without Max since he and Nev have such great chemistry. That being said we have loved seeing Nev’s wife on the show so if they are looking for a replacement that also has a nice chemistry with Nev they don’t really have to look much further then his own front door!
